Aberdeen Docklands Vision – An interactive model for all ages.
The interactive model will engage all ages in the design/ planning process to redevelop the harbour after North Sea oil runs out. Like the Model City (FoA 2016) players will lay colour coded pieces, representing different building types, on the wharfs and on landfill if necessary. At a scale of 1:750 the inner harbour and part off the Dee will be included. Housing will be a major feature but no building types will be ruled out and destination venues, theatres, art galleries etc. will be encouraged. The North Ferries will continue to dock in the harbour with links to the city transport system.
